Just seen an on-line petition for a national care service. I find the term 'care' as in care home misleading and derogatory. I have always supported, taught, mentored, guided, assisted and worked to strengthen people based on caring about, not placing people as being done too.
I had the privilege of meeting Len Goodman on a couple of occasions whilst at the Sevenoaks Community and Voluntary awards. He always had time to speak to people, thanking them for their efforts in the service of others. He was a really nice guy and will be greatly missed
We are living through a time of great revelation, where things that were hard to see or take seriously, are becoming clearer & valued: neighbourliness matters; relationships matter; care matters; place matters; we matter. We can see the community cake now-it looks amazing:
if you are following this story here is the news. KCHFT have issued formal acceptance of a review by legal Firm Bevan Brittan that allows anything to be said about a staff member who complains as long as these are marked as 'opinions' Time to act. @NHSEngland@NHSsoutheast
Time to act @NHSKentCHFT don't accept the advice from private Legal firm Bevan Brittan to allow complainants to face reprisals from individuals or departments under investigation.
If you care about NHS staff please act to stop KCHFT from implementing plans that will stop staff from feeling able to complain about poor care & management. Thousands spent on a private legal firm but no money for nurses @number10gov@SteveBarclay@Kent_Online @serviceimpkchft

KCHFT act to remove staff protections for anyone that dare make a complaint about poor care or management. In future they can have negative remarks put on their file by the person or department under investigation marked as an opinion. @unisontheunion@Kent_Online@NHSsoutheast

In a move that will deter any one from making a complaint KCHFT said yesterday they will go ahead with plans that allow staff who make a complaint to be retaliated against contrary to NHS policy. @KCHFTdietitians @kchftimmsteam @KCHFT_LDservice @KCHFT_Research @KCHFTPatExp

The NHS Right to Raise a Concern Policy assures anyone that reports a concern that they will not be subject to retaliation. One Trust is now being advised to overturn that by interpreting data law to remove protections. Be good to hear from NHS staff in Kent @serviceimpkchft
We love fake or fortune. I did send in a photo of what looks like a Matisse drawing found concealed behind another painting, but its origin remains a mystery.
All I can show you is this. A scrapyard in Essex. Make of it what you will. But it is where we found evidence this morning for the next series of #fakeorfortune (due out next summer.)
