@NYRBlueBulletin Yes, but only if he signs an 8-year sign & trade. He'll be 27 in July so he is young enough to make it through the "retool." He is a legit star at a level we can only hope Gabe gets to. He has averaged 39 goals for the last 5 yrs. We've NEVER had a player who did that in NY.

@etihad Just flew Etihad from Tokyo to NYC. Great flight and worth the longer flight time. Business class is the greatest!

Watching Brett Howden score two goals for Vegas tonight, it's worth noting that while he has been a very useful bottom six player in LV, the #NYR drafted Noah Laba with the 4th rd. pick they got for Howden. Trades take years to evaluate.

Sean McDonough calling the NYR-Pitt game reaffirmed the fact that he is the worst hockey play-by-play man on TV. The Rangers do suck, but that's all he could talk about. When the Blueshirts came back to win he was very, very quiet. Just awful. #NYR

@vzmercogliano @emilymkaplan The idea of Drury doing a deal with Steve Yzerman is giving me flashbacks to how Yzerman fleeced the Rangers in the past (while with Tampa). And Stevie knowing the Blueshirts are over a barrel with KM, it points to another one-sided deal that will burn NYR in the long run.

15 1st round picks from 2006-20: Kreider, LAFRENIERE, Chytil, K. Miller, Schneider success in NY. Del Zotto, J.T. Miller, Skjei success after trade. Too soon for KAKKO & Lundkvist. ANDERSSON, McILRATH, KRAVTSOV, Cherepanov, Sanguinetti were busts. Top 10 in caps.#NYR

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@MollieeWalkerr Not having Cuylle on the ice with the empty net is criminal. I get Mika since you need your two best faceoff men but Kreider has done nothing. Lavy needs to wake up.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

At least the kids are working. #NYR

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@ajcastigliaa They fired Trouba. That worked.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@vzmercogliano Remember when they pulled Shesty for the concussion protocol? Why not now???

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@Secondhole @rayferraro21 @NHL @EdmontonOilers @FlaPanthers You see when he said Bob got a quick whistle? Only he didn't. Useless facts and ignoring the play on the ice. Any why do they show us the coach after a penalty is called instead of A REPLAY OF THE PENALTY!!!!

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

It's funny to hear PK Subban trashing the NYR for not showing up in a big game. In 2014 Conference Finals he had 1 goal and 1 assist in 6 games with a +/- of -1. In the 2017 SCF he had 2 assists in 6 games with a +/- of -1. People who live in glass houses...#NYR

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@NYRLouie In hindsight, Drury probably regrets not breaking the bank and getting Vatrano. He was the only one who clicked with Kreider and Zibanejad. And he can score 5v5.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@ZIBANEJAD_93 And Rodrigues was on the power play about a minute later. Total dive.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@TheProspectpark It looked like Trouba caught more shoulder than head. Rodrigues sold it well. Was back on the ice for the PP 2 minutes later.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@NYRBlueBulletin The only good news for Kakko is they won't start Rempe in Florida as they won't be able to match lines. (hopefully for #24). #NYR

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

Sean McDonough is the worst play-by-play man in hockey. He ignores the action...just spouts stats fed to him. Just awful. #NYR

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@NYRLouie Someone on NHL radio made an interesting point...talking about Kreider early in his career and blossoming after he turned 30....called his early career Kakko-like. That said, Kreider did well in his first playoffs...but DID get sent to the AHL the next season.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@TheProspectpark They have never let Kakko play with Panarin (300 mins in 160 games) & I think that would worth a try. It's playing with fire, but put Laffy on the wing with Mika & Kreider & see if he can get them going. We could actually have 2 scoring lines at 5v5.

[Steve Paulus @spny1]

@TheProspectpark Plus Brodzinski ran into Vesey on the wall and then Cuylle took Lindgren out of the play.
