The Trestle demo site (https://t.co/c9LEUuysA7) is now running on Rails 8.0.0.beta1 and Kamal 2. I've been a long time fan of Capistrano but the new kamal-proxy in Kamal 2 really makes it the dream scenario for deployment.
A flurry of fixes and improvements are out now in Trestle 0.10.1, as well as trestle-search 0.5.1. Thank you to all contributors. Release notes here: https://t.co/PAe0YtEOnu
Highlights of this release are of course the Turbo and Stimulus integration, as well as updates to Bootstrap 5.3, FontAwesome 6, PhotoSwipe and improved CSS variable based theming (no more Sass dependency!)
Today saw the final release of Trestle 0.10.0 (the Hotwire release), along with companion releases of trestle-auth (0.5.0), trestle-search (0.5.0) and trestle-tinymce (0.4.0).
For a full roundup of updates in 0.10.0, check the release notes: https://t.co/HDFk442nVX
@_swanson Totally agree but unfortunately inline turbo streams don't currently render within a layout, e.g. to update a global flash. I've opened an issue recently here: https://t.co/MgFaeKc7Yb
Today brings a new Trestle pre-release of 0.10.0.pre2 (along with trestle-auth 0.5.0.pre2 and trestle-tinymce 0.4.0.pre2). Expect a final release next week. Release notes here: https://t.co/tIeaYMlXLS
In case you missed it yesterday, the first pre-release including full Hotwire support for Trestle is now out.
It also now supports theming via CSS variables (no more Sass required)!
The Hotwire release of Trestle is finally here. Trestle 0.10.0.pre is now out for testing (along with companion releases of trestle-auth 0.5.0.pre and trestle-search 0.5.0.pre). Check out the release notes here: https://t.co/hviK57DF5D
@myockey Just pushed trestle-tinymce 0.4.0.pre to RubyGems. I'll have to update it to support TinyMCE 6 and maybe 7 soon too (perhaps supporting all versions simultaneously). Glad to hear the new release has been working well for you!

Very impressed with the RubyGems Trusted Publishing workflow. Super easy to set up and @excid3 does a great job explaining it here: https://t.co/Q7MFiE55SO
@cooperx86@strzibnyj That’d be great to get on there again. I’m on the verge of publishing a major update with Hotwire integration. Can I ping you when that drops?
@Zeko369@strzibnyj Author of @TrestleAdmin here. The DSL concern is definitely a common one. Personally I love it, but composability/decomposition of concerns is indeed harder with it. I'm keen to explore the possibility of a non-DSL pathway with Trestle.
Down to the last 24hrs of our Kickstarter campaign - thank you to everyone for the support this last month!!!
We can't wait to begin this new phase of the BirdWeather journey.

Sr Rails devs describe Rails as being the easiest and most productive way to build web apps. Meanwhile @joemasilotti@excid3 & others discuss how we’re losing a generation of Jr Rails devs because its daunting.
Can both be true?
Here’s my story on how Rails is losing Jrs.
