My brother in Christ we are a global super power. The high school football economy in Frisco, Texas is worth a not insignificant fraction of Belgium’s total GDP. Any random number of football and basketball players (very small 0-6 I’m not dissing Messi) over the years could theoretically have been better than Messi. But they never ended up touching a soccer ball. Now those kids would be playing soccer. The sports economy relies on soccer, the culture shifts to soccer. The best at player development are paid more to come to America. It doesn’t take 20 years. It would take exactly one generation in this hypothetical. The next generation of soccer players basically anyone under the age of 10 would be the best in the game by the time the came of age and we would have the best crop of players in the world due to our population, the significance of sports culturally and the economic need to make our players the best so we can fill our areas.
