@brennasaur @GoonForged I just want y'all to know, since I've largely backed off social media and mostly log in to look in on mutuals from 2020, the algorithm has decided to populate 75% of my TL with your conversations and, specifically, these gifs.
It is *the* most wholesome Twitter experience ever.
@missapea Case in point: My brain sees 97+93 and thinks, "200, duh." Then I do the math and hahahaaaa, right, nevermind.
I only know to add the easy numbers first and then add the remainder because my husband told me about it. In my early 30s.
@missapea I've been reading comments and I feel your frustration so deeply. I was never taught to do this, either, and I'm clinically bad at numbers. (Not dyscalculic, but I had to redo my ADHD psych eval last year. My math scores were 50+ percentile points below my other scores.)
@RobertCruiksha4 @kellymakena Iโm autistic and I see no conflict between โpeople are baffling to me because Iโm autisticโ and โneurotypical people are crazyโ

@EmilyRichie3 @danielleweisber I'm a whole airport baggage carousel who says this (usually only in private), but you make an interesting point. I think an overlooked point of compatibility is the will and/or ability to learn and communicate on each other's level. It's still work but it doesn't feel "hard."
every quarter i give my students an extra credit assignment to make a meme about something we covered in class. this quarter i taught US History from approx 1815-1920(ish), and the kids had some spicy takes (thread of memes)
@GoonForged My TL refreshed itself right as I caught a glimpse of your pfp and the words "I DID vote for Clinton in '96" and for a minute I thought I'd just seen the most shocking age reveal of all time
Anti-trans Texas House candidate Jeff Younger came to the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas this evening and it went about as well as you'd expect
