Hunt. Raab. Williamson. Braverman. Cleverly. Shapps. Zahawi
The image problem Sunak has is that there is no one he can appoint that isn't linked to the rot already.
Himself included.
1/ Congratulations to @grantshapps on his appointment, the 5th BEIS Secretary of THIS Parliament. Fair play to him, one of his aliases was Michael Green, which could be a good sign. 🙂
Absolutely appalling that Suella Braverman is back as Home Secretary. Not only does it signal a return to the cruel policies of the Boris Johnson/Priti Patel government, Braverman was only forced out as Home Secretary last week! An insult to the British electorate.
Appointing Suella Braverman as Home secretary just days after she was sacked for a security breach doesn’t smack of integrity, competence, professionalism or sensible politics. It’s just cynical manoeuvring. This PM’s no better than the last two.

An important reminder. Since the start of July we have had four Chancellors, three Home Secretaries and now three Prime Ministers. But no General Election. Peculiar form of democracy.
The party elite decides the leadership succession
in one-party states, not in democracies. This winnowing of democracy does our national reputation no good and is unsustainable. #GeneralElectionN0W
Since I was elected in June we’ve had: three Prime Ministers, four Chancellors of the Exchequer, three Home Secretaries, and two major cabinet reshuffles.
This is a far cry from stability – this is chaos. We need a General Election so that you can have your say on this new PM.
