Israel has expanded its control of Gaza from 53% under the October ceasefire agreement to an estimated nearly 70%, steadily pushing the “yellow line” westward and seizing more Palestinian land.

In Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, Israeli forces bombed and shelled residential areas, forced residents to flee, then placed new yellow concrete blocks at Dawlah Junction on Salah al-Din Street on July 22, cutting people off from Gaza’s main north-south road and access farther south.

“There is no longer any possibility of life here,” one displaced resident told Drop Site. “Life in Zeitoun has been wiped out.”
