@RossLuniMcCabe @SorarePidel You are wrong on that one Ross. A last line block can be from anywhere as long as the defender is the literal last man behind the ball. In this instance it wouldn’t be a last line block as the keeper is right behind him.

@McBrideAce @BTCandME There are other data providers out there for sure. FIFA are doing their own thing. Switch providers as much as you like but then you are only getting someone else’s interpretation of events. There is no way to objectively define everything that can happen in a football game

@McBrideAce @BTCandME Football is incredibly nuanced and subjective. Opta collect events based on their definitions - just because you disagree doesn’t make them crap! Watch a football game and try and define every single on-ball touch you see. See what you come up with :)
