@bethanar Shari is actually a known name in the US. Great story but possibly illustrates why more parents don't take this approach :)

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@bethanar She stayed Cheerio until 18, when she changed her name to Shari, but was still known as Cheerio by family & older friends :)

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@bethanar Because at age 4 cheerios were her favourite thing!

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@bethanar My mum's childhood friend was named Baby because her parents wanted her to choose own name. Aged 4 she named herself Cheerio

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@bethanar My go to comfort reading is James Herriott- even when bad things happen a heartwarming conclusion always quickly follows!!

@poetryghost Yeah. But they don't have control over a lot of the situation either- so them seeing wouldn't even help that much.

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@poetryghost You can't fix it. It's really not within your control, so don't make yourself miserable trying

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@wiley9000 Aw thank you for saying I still stay a library person! I hope so. Really enjoying it so far! It feels surprisingly natural.

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@sarahcchilds Thanks! I have entered!

@lemurph @cjclib @NickyAdkins Emma and my old landlord repeatedly referred to her as my "colleague". It was hilarious

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

Definitely a careers-y direction- can't really spin it as an info pro role! But I've really enjoyed the careers stuff in current job.

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

I'm going to be starting a new job on 21 Sep as Graduate Outreach Manager for HM Treasury. Doing outreach & attraction for their grad jobs.

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@_moo_ Ah, some units don't order them to save money. You could order it yourself but might not be worth it if the unit don't wear them

[Linsey Chrisman @spoontragedy]

@_moo_ My apologies as a Brownie leader. Fabric glue or hot glue work too, can go with staples if putting them on the sash.
