@dutch_dread To cloud not to close the CA page, but because she’s entrusting him with her life and the world too, sacrificing herself too.
If the page was closed, we wouldn’t be visiting again so many times after it’s been closed
Unless you skipped through all of ch14 I think it’s quite obvious that CA was the focus here.
We are experiencing aeriths final moments alive and she chooses to spend it only with cloud… she loves her other party members and considers them close friends. However, it’s clear -
To all my fellow Clerith lovers:
Am I the only CA who actually feel Rebirth ended the LTD? To a big extent at least. Chapter 14 was crystal clear, there is not much ambiguity left at all. CA cleared the doubts they had between them, and are clearly set on each other now❤️
@dutch_dread Destroying that and fulfilling his own destiny, succumbing to sephiroth is succumbing to the dark side l, which why the party is fighting AGAINST it… do u see the thematics going on here?
Despite sephiroth looming over them, they both make the best of it, aerith says goodbye
@Fran_del_Valle@Saint_Pingu My sister is the biggest aerith hater on earth and she started scratching her head in confusion after that chapter.
She legit replayed the game because she said “I think the game is pushing aerith on me even tho I prefer tifa’
Before she sacrificed herself make the scene even better and hit even harder?
Because saying that “she friend-zoned him” makes the story writing seem absolutely ridiculous
That ch14 was about CA and their final moments together, everything lead up to the climax of the scene…
Like let’s thing about it objectively, if we are building up a scene to a climax of a character sacrificing themselves, wouldn’t making the character confess her feelings -
@Kain424@kibbysipping Cloud is stuck in a never ending cycle of grief, he makes peace with himself and is willing to live for the sake of his family at the end of AC, but his other appearances in games suggest that he’s still “looking for someone”
@Kain424@kibbysipping That message was already discussed in AC though, they wouldn’t make a whole retrilogy just to reheat what was already discussed.
The games heavily imply rebirth of some kind, imply the changing of fate, heck it’s what aerith said at the end of remake.
@Kain424@kibbysipping You’re right about one thing, ff7’s story is largely about grief and how cloud has to go on after the death of his cherished one. However, it isn’t the theme of the retrilogy, the story beats remain almost exact, but there’s a shift in the story, and it’s not about grief anymore.
@Kain424@kibbysipping You’re telling the game final “fantasy” 7’s theme is that life is finite and death is inevitable, same game that has phoenixes and magic and resurrection for non humans like sephi.
And that the devs purposefully trick the players to a false sense of security?
@bluthundyr@aerithsroses I think you mean the opposite.. if we are talking about continuity and what scene fits the overarching narrative then it’s 100% aeriths.. it literally can’t be tifa or barret.
Definitely not the weakest either, it’s literally the longest of the 3, means they worked harder on it
I’ll never forget my aerith hating sister scratching her head in confusion after finishing rebirth and saying “I think the game is telling me to date aerith /:”
I going to NEED Sephiroth to look at cloud (but framed to look at the screen/ player) and say:
“You actually believed all that? That you could change fate? Change who you are?”
Just to shut those up who still think they know more than the devs. Saying they are lying, etc
