Three observations:
- Arsenal the only Top 5 (PL table) team with net positive from VAR & Refs errors (+5). They screwed up the competition to help Arsenal.
- Liverpool & Leeds are the only 2 teams with 0 VAR errors benefiting them.
- There is no “Big 6” bias, just Arsenal.
@slnged Endo, Chiesa and Elliott either been ineffective, injured or unavailable all year. We haven’t missed them this season. Best clear out all three and get a useful player in for the combined fee.
This Konate stuff is a complete mess. For him to say he still didn’t know on the last day of the season if he was staying or not is completely ludicrous.
Club should have done better, even if he was demanding a too high figure. Negotiate better. We’ve always been good at that.
@BobtheRed1 Theres always going to be risk whoever it is, but LFC’s criteria of a man who can inspire the fans and bring back high-press attacking football makes it only more difficult to find someone proven at the top level who is available. That said, they’ve got to get it right this time.
We’ve all seen Konate’s patchy form this season. I think the club are right not to pay him huge wages in all honesty. They just better have a good plan for it.
🥇| @JamesPearceLFC and @greggevans40: "The dynamic changed significantly last summer with the departure of established stars like Alexander-Arnold, Diaz, and Nunez. A lot of the new arrivals, such as Isak, Mamardashvili and Wirtz, are more quiet and reserved."
