Weta Workshop Creations in Roxy Cinema

Weta Workshop models are on display in the lobby of the Roxy - Gandolf and Gollum greet you in the foyer. The walls are decorated with original classic movie posters, and an old projector from the Capitol days sits by the staircase.

In Miramar, NZ Weta Workshop artists redid the interior of the old Capitol Theatre (1928) to have art deco meet futuristic ideas.Sir Richard Taylor, inspired by the 1927 silent film Metropolis, married the concept perfectly with gold robots drinking martinis in the wall recesses
