@Koen_VdE @ferdiocom I also recently wondered what these charts — used for visualizing contingency tables — are called and I discovered they are referred to as 'balloon plots'. There are also plot libraries available, such as d3-balloon and ggballoonplot (R). So, this seems to be another common term.

@Coeluh @maartenzam Thx! Plot changed behavior w.r.t. tick labels and thousands separator in a recent update. Now, it is necessary to set a trivial ˋtickFormatˋ to prevent thousands separator in year labels. Fixed it!
