@bstylesmattapan If I was an HC & my assistants didn't challenge or advise me then I would think I have the wrong coaches on my staff. My OC/DC would be my best strategists not the ones I would want to replace me as a HC. HC responsibilities are way different OC/DC responsibilities.
@bstylesmattapan Here's what I think, I don't think OC or DC should be higher than any other assistant unless there is an associate HC or assistant HC. Honestly, the OL coach is usually the one in that type of orbit.
@JonJonDoh1968@DickieV Because the conference tourney winner likely loses in first round while the other team has a shot to advance to 2nd round and therefore it is better to have the best team in the tourney.
@LandonTengwall If you don't have them is it a killer? No. Can you overuse them? Yes. Can using them hurt what you want to be doing? Yes. Don't sustain Sled drills too long & don't use boards & go through the motions as a coach.
@LandonTengwall You use boards to teach technique especially footwork & translating footwork to hand strike. The big sled has some basic technical use as well especially from 4 and 6 point stances, single or double sled has practical purpose in drive/down block and double team teaching...
@EOEboh Depends on more than that information. A is faster in most normal instances. B is faster in only CHAR(10), not VARCHAR(10), created_at column cases. This type of question won’t get you the mind you need to work on DB problems.
@Geraldini93 Some won't understand, he had 120+ yards rushing in National Championship game against Miami only runner to do so all year and that's with -40+ yards taken off for sacks.
@AdamArchuleta On OZ/WZ I see too many ILBs scraping with flow before getting down hill and seeing good offensive teams exploit that. So my answer is attack your gap responsibility try force early cutback, knife through, or create bubble.
@CoachTyHoover@DelCurrent You coach at Buena Vista a D3 school. I recruited this athlete from Herrin, IL to Millikin just from watching how she competed in a relay as a HS athlete. https://t.co/jOB9cUuXFS
@WinningSystemFB @toddzuccato@coach_u87 The hardest one for most small schools is line though. Most O-Line coaches know how to do inside drill with half line though. It's also why you really can't do complex changes, because this is where you win or lose games really.
@WinningSystemFB @toddzuccato@coach_u87 Personally, I think the easiest way to teach is "make the Mike right" with safeties and that they can Buzz from rolled up alignment, know the LB technique, gap, and carry rules as Apex instead of it being alley or Mike replacement, & be able to do cloud from inverted.
