Irish musician Glen Hansard has died at the age of 56.
The Dublin singer-songwriter was best known as the frontman of The Frames, his work with The Swell Season, and for the Oscar-winning song Falling Slowly from Once.
Our thoughts are with Glen's family, friends and all who knew and loved him π
@helllolucy Get yourself up to Croker next Sunday - Ladies All Ireland Finals are on. Can't promise you the emotion or the fairytale from yesterday but it will be a great day nonetheless.
@SineadSineady That's fairly bang on the money Sinead. Thanks.
It just hit a little harder this weekend because regardless of who contested the finals there was always lengthy discussions and analysis afterwards.
Lost the old man a couple of weeks ago.
Evenings like this evening are where there are gaps.
The phone would be ringing around now, "well, what did you make of that?" is how he would start the conversation.
He wouldn't have begrudged ye that win.

@R_o_M I'm a veteran of United in the 80s being starved of league titles, I never witnessed any like this.
I'm not even from Mayo & it was impossible not to get emotional as the clock counted down to the final whistle - a young, fearless and energetic side ripping up the script.
@stuckydog Doing grand, thanks. Miss his punditry on days like yesterday.
He delivered a no filter version that certainly wouldn't be sanctioned by RTE.
@Rma13Fiona Sorry for your loss Fiona.
It's the chats on days like yesterday and last week after the hurling that are hitting hardest at the moment.
Even though we're Dubs, her certainly wouldn't begrudge Mayo their celebrations.
@Breegemw The "debrief" - that sums it up perfectly.
It was a constant for us every Sunday, the phone call, the chat and we'd pull the game apart. He'd always finish by "sure we'll see what they say later on the @TheSundayGame "
@lanakillops It's the beauty of sport and in particular the GAA.
Rivalry can be fierce at times but then there are days like today, watching a young team rip up the script and do it their way. Absolutely mighty stuff β€οΈ
