Then, when he arrived in Moominvalley, he'd sit on the bridge rail and play it, and Moomintroll would say at once: That's a good one. Really a good one.
But as he was wriggling around trying to find a cozy spot to sleep he caught sight of something that made him quite wide awake–Snufkin’s bed was empty!
Now I want to drink to the health of Snufkin, who is trekking south tonight all alone, but feeling I am sure as happy as we are here. Let us wish him a good pitch for his tent and a light heart!
He was probably on a voyage of discovery, and soon he would put up his tent by the river, refusing to sleep indoors. Moomintroll sighed. He felt sad but didn’t know why.
'Then I want to wish Moomintroll will stop missing Snufkin,' said Moominmamma
'Oh dear!' said Moomintroll going pink. 'I didn't know it was so obvious!'
The hedgehog told me that Moomintroll starts waiting for you as soon as he wakes from winter sleep... Isn't it a nice thing to know that someone's longing for you and waiting and waiting to see you again?
'Snufkin. That new float of yours. I suppose it looked good in the water. The red one.'
'Not bad,' Snufkin said. 'I'll make you one. Were you planning to fish tomorrow?'
'Of course,' Moomintroll said. 'Naturally.'
