@JoeMcJoe11@DashDobrofsky@maggieNYT Ms. MH is a trusted, truthful dedicated to getting the facts on everything She does. Someone who tells the truth without fear or favor.
It is hard to understand how a small group of loud ultra conservatives have managed to control womens bodies, succeed in erasing history in public schools, and revert to the 1950s rules of exclusion. People that claim to love America, yet hate Americans.
Oklahoma SDE is on the wrong side of history. Clara Lupers civil rights contributions would cause Her school district to loose accreditation, and put her teaching job in danger. How can we have moved backwards this quickly? Shame on Oklahoma.
The right side of the isle would claim it is a sunny day, in the middle of a tornado. They really haven’t got a real issue to talk about. Hard for the left to debate issues that don’t exist, and reek of anti democracy.
The teaching of history can not be neutral. We must teach future generations by telling the truth; to do less is to be political. The truth isn’t political.
I thought Langford was a unifier. I thought he was the Mr. Smith gone to Washington type leader. As the Capitol was being attacked he was protesting the vote. He at best is mislead, at worst owned by the Oklahoma Energy Companies.
I would love having Senator James Langford as President of the United States. I think he could bring this country back together. I’m a Democrat, and yet, he is the one.
The same people that denied climate change, are now trying to kill student curiosity. Those of us that are not bound by teaching jobs need to defend telling the truth.
I can make a list of other examples of critical race theory, but it is more of a syndrome focused on minorities, native Americans, and immigrants. It is a history of abuse.
The only theory in critical race theory is that if the government makes it illegal to teach about slavery, 1921 Tulsa Race massacre, lynchings, sundown laws, racial intermarriage restrictions, Jim Crow laws, Oklahoma corruption, it will erase the history.
The 1619 project should be the curriculum for teaching colonial America. I’m old, my filter isn’t what it once was; to banish this history is to support white supremacy. To not teach this history b/c it makes some ppl uncomfortable, is nothing compared to 250+ years of slavery.
