Things I learned day drinking at LAS w my new bf RN from Mnpls today:
1) always route yr flights here bc airport bar scene > DEN
2) if yr ICU nurse is not slavish-attentive to yr family member GIVE THANKS, that means your loved one is expected to live
3) humans r ok ❤️

A sublime day in Upper Butte Creek yesterday with @springfedfarm and Faith Churchhill talking about reforestation in the #DixieFire. Lots of huge red fir have been cleared along the roads. This one was over 400 years old.

When I was a child on the Chesapeake Bay, on the beach we often found lumps of quivering clear colorless jelly (that could swim), as large as a child's palm. We inexplicably called them "watermelons". They must've been salps?!
