Today year 3 were set a challenge of using a torch and a mirror to reflect light around an object to make a post-it note behind it light up. We had a lot of fun trying out different angles to reflect the light in the right direction.
This morning Year 3 have ventured outside to continue to build on our skills in Art. We chose wax crayons to make our rubbings using several different surfaces. We then used the technique of frottage to create a flower with our rubbings but tearing and cutting shapes.
Play It Forward a ten piece brass band delighted the children in this mornings assembly. They play all over Lancashire raising money for charity. School are donating to Pendleside Hospice.
In PE this afternoon Year 3 have been working in teams.They used their problem solving skills to help them get from one side of the hall to the other using hoops.
This morning, Year 3 had a visitor from Burnley FC in the Community who came to talk to us about sugary drinks and how they affect our teeth. We brought in drinks and looked at how many grams of sugar are in them.
