This morning, the police and fire departments took part in a touch-a-truck event at Crestview Elementary School!
Students had the opportunity to explore city vehicles up close, meet the crews who operate them, and learn what it takes to keep our community running safely.
The Springfield Police Department joined several Tennessee State Troopers this morning for the Tennessee Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
Power Outage Update:
Portions of the outage have been restored including traffic signals along Memorial Blvd.
We still have outages remaining in residential areas that encompass Oakland Farms/Saddlebrook, areas along and near Oak Street, areas along and near Brentlawn Drive.
Power Outage Alert: We have customers without power in multiple areas of the city following this evening's storm. Crews are responding to broken poles and limbs on power lines and are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service.

Sanitation Collection Reminder!
City of Springfield offices will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.
Residents who normally receive garbage collection on Friday will have their cart collected on Wednesday, April 1.
