We're looking for a new colleague to help @prisca_eyedea and I deliver our growing MA Web Design & Content Planning programme here @UniofGreenwich. We'd love to hear from you if you love Web and you love teaching: https://t.co/HdvssAZql6
@eskins@Mr_Dave_Haslam Agreed. I saw them on 11th September 1982. I can remember feeling disappointed and almost gave up on them. Fortunately, in March 1983, Blue Monday changed that!
What a wonderful and refreshing talk for #SotB2021 by @eatwholegrain Tom Greenwood on Sustainability in Web Design. Tom's book now on my phone. Will read!
@webstandards
How lovely to be back at #SotB2021 after such a long time without seeing lovely Web people at a conference. Thanks to @webstandards for all your efforts!
Please remember it is against college policy to turn your in-person course into a hybrid course. Also, please make sure all your lectures are recorded and accessible in real time and that they are asynchronously available online for students who need them and canโt attend!
@BenCanTeach @mart_compton Honestly Martin, you could probably learn all you need to know in about half an hour. It's not pretty, but CSS inline styles is probably the most useful hack for Moodle.
@BenCanTeach @mart_compton JavaScript may be overkill but a little bit of CSS goes a long way and can really help knock your Moodle type design into shape.
Teaching is perhaps 100x harder than we expect. The common misconception is that itโs about sharing your knowledge; itโs not. Rather, itโs about understanding whatโs in the studentโs mind, modeling that in your mind, building a bridge from the studentโs mental state to yours.
