The problem comes when people grade things that they want kids to do/have but don’t explicitly teach.

@tas94_ @heymrsbond @IntegrityTeach I get these are things we all do… but in this context, do you grade for empathy, kindness, or other soft skills? What’s being presented is a validity question… grade what you’re explicitly teaching. Everything else reduces the validity of the grade.

On this 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, I can admit that until I was 48 years old, I thought colonists were protesting high taxes. The action was actually in protest of a reduction of taxes, making East India tea more competitive with black market tea. #bostonteaparty

Right now, it’s a bit like doctors from all disciplines arguing about best medical procedures- it only makes sense when they talk about a specific medical problem. We need to match padagogy to problem
