I wish I could get my hands on the script for the play my local FilAm community put on re: Filipino history, I think it went from "Spain bad Jose Rizal and independence fighters good" straight to MacArthur's "I shall return" lol
What happened in between
@WASPmexicano Americans largely do not remember the Philippines at all, and no one wants to remind them about it because of the atrocities committed, which unlike My Lai or Wounded Knee are mostly out of the public consciousness here. I mean, I think people should remember it, to be clear.
@WilmerOo_@GoreTiger64th@Prototype27F https://t.co/QAvlOzsveD your claim was that it lacks xp at all, and then dismissing suggestions otherwise as not true drone warfare, not that it has less xp than Ukraine
@WilmerOo_@GoreTiger64th@Prototype27F Maybe northern Europeans have more training opportunities by virtue of proximity to Ukraine, but they were getting whipped too per the article. I haven't seen any direct suggestion that American drone xp/ability is less/worse than rest of NATO, only that Ukraine>NATO
@WilmerOo_@GoreTiger64th@Prototype27F I see British, Estonian, and NATO forces in the screenshot; those NATO units MIGHT include American forces, but that doesn't mean the US completely lacks drone xp. It merely lacks drone xp compared to the country which relies on it for survival, ofc they're gonna lose exercises
@WilmerOo_@GoreTiger64th@Prototype27F All the article you cite shows is that Ukraine has more drone fighting experience than NATO countries; after ~4 years of drone warfare, I would hope such a country would have more drone experience than countries not waging drone warfare to defend their country
Kind of funny that porn and tobacco pouches and online gambling have brought back a specific type of wastrel that we all thought went extinct around 1850
