Hero of my Soil 🙏🏻
The lady holding a photo is Mandodari Nayak, wife of Great Raghu Nayak who had jumped upon and caught Nathuram Godse after he fired bullets on Mahatma Gandhi ji in Birla house on 30th Jan 1948. He was working there as a gardener. Mr Pyarelal, personal secretary of Gandhiji has written about him in his book " Mahtma Gandhi ,The Last Phase". Former president of India Dr.Rajendra Prasad had awarded him in 2952. He came back to his native village in 1967 after his retirement and died in 1983.The forgotten Hero Raghu Nayak is from my native area. We are proud of him.A statue of him was built by the villagers in 2005 which inspires us to fight against forces who praise and try to glorify Godse ,the 1st terrorist of indipendent India @Ashok_Kashmir@irfhabib@Apoorvanand__@neeraj_jhaa@BabelePiyush@DayashankarMi@ajitanjum@ravish_journo@PC70001010@puru_ag@Aakar__Patel
@navdeepsuri@ECISVEEP Sir, your case reminds me of Mohammad Sana Ullah, who inspite of serving the Indian army for 30 years, was sent to a detention camp in Assam state as part of NRC. The whole purpose of this notorious SIR is exclusion.

@motordave2 These water tankers mostly owned by policians and mafia have become a menace. This week, biker narrowly escaped death in Bengaluru after his bike was crushed by a water tanker without a number plate and driver without licence.
Now that independence week is over, instead of arguing about what happened 90 years ago or 3,000 years ago, let us come to the here and now to something that determines the FUTURE of our young and the future of our nation.
No country can progress without its humans which translates into the required outcomes in education and health
This detailed story by @sayantanbera in @livemint (payroll unlocked) details where we are going wrong.
Why the dream of upgrading yourself and your family through education is fading fast and it is not just about the paper leaks!
Why even after being the top 10% of students you still cannot get the professional education you desire
Why higher education is slipping out of most Indians' hands
Why even after working hard and overcoming very poor odds you still cannot look forward to a stable future
Why even when you get higher education it does not even guarantee a job
Why we are not spending enough on education
Telling statistic “in the 12 years to 2026 the spending of on education in the federal budget has nearly halved to 2.5%, while spending on Road transport and highways has trebled to 5.6%”
I am reminded of the first big premise in this book “Economics in one lesson” that what we see as spending by the government is visible, what is not visible is where the money could have been used instead - either in private or public hands and what the good outcomes out of that would have been.
In fact he gives specifically the examples of roads and bridges which appear as literally concrete proof of spending (at least if they don't collapse) whereas all the alternative uses of that money are invisible.
Here we are building airports which are not even being used while saying that we don't have funds to provide water, toilets, teachers or midday meals in schools
As I have often said that even if your priority is solely economic growth, it cannot happen without upgrading the human capital
The success story of China for instance, was wholly dependent on the fact that they first spent on health and education before even starting the industrialization phase.
Time to wake up instead of spending our time on needless debates
India's education-entrance-coaching-jobs crisis has nothing to do with 'merit'

@CitizenPulseX These water tanker businesses are owned by Mafia affiliated to political parties and related to Corporators, MLAs and MPs. What can @BlrCityPolice or @blrcitytraffic and for that matter Sri. @PriyankKharge do to them ?
Dear Sri @krishnabgowda@CPBlr@BlrCityPolice@GBA_office@GBAChiefComm This illegal dog breeding centre opposite to Rachenahalli Lake Park has been nuisance. The dogs bark incessantly due to no proper care and cruelty of the owner. Please look into it.

The policy challenge we face, argues Dani Rodrik, is to identify sectors where Chinese support creates harmful dependency while recognizing areas where China is supplying a global public good.
N. Chandrasekaran’s unexpected departure has exposed how dependent the $280 billion Tata Group remains on personal authority despite its reputation for institutional governance.
