Late Antiquity was a period which in much of the Mediterranean world was in a dark age of decline and disintegration. But in Gaza, ironically, it marked a time of great prosperity and intellectual flourishing.
For even as the Romans abandoned Britain, and the Western Empire bled under the assaults of Goths and Vandals and Huns, Gaza found a new role for itself as the a centre of literary and intellectual achievement, as well as a major port, famous for exporting frankincense and sweet wine.

When a plane carrying 153 Palestinians from Gaza landed in Johannesburg without warning, South African officials found passengers with no exit stamps, no accommodation, and no clear explanation.
The group behind the flight, Al-Majd Europe, appears to have almost no verifiable structure - with non-working numbers, recycled photos, and no physical office.
What’s happening - and who is behind it?
Despite the ceasefire, despite the ICJ provisional measures, despite obligations under Fourth Geneva Convention ....Israel still blocks life-saving aid. The genocide continies
