@KiwiBreeder Absolutely agree. Eddie Redmayne won that year for portraying Stephen Hawking, a man with ALS. My father had ALS, and I was glad to see the Hawking movie raise further awareness about the disease. But I still wanted Keaton to win. That’s how highly I regard him.

@KiwiBreeder I was between my sophomore and junior years of college in 1992, as well. I didn’t like it when I saw it, especially after the thrill ride of the second film, but over time I’ve come to appreciate it as an interesting failure - it falls short but at least takes creative chances.

@RichardERoeper Recently, I visited a store that my grandfather managed in a small Maine town in the 1980s. I was telling the kid at the counter about how the store was back then, and halfway through my little speech I realized I was acting just like one of the people in those ads.

@theoneginevra Great question. I wish I treated my personal creative writing goals as a business, but I treat it or approach it as a hobby. Part of the reason, I imagine, is that I am a professional journalist, which takes up a lot of writing time and energy.
