โI am with you always, to the end of the age.โ (Mt 28:20)
Jesus keeps that promise in a special way through the Eucharist. On this Feast of Corpus Christi, we give thanks for the gift of His Real Presence among us. ๐

At 11AM on Nov 11 1918, the guns fell silent on the Western Front, marking the end of 4 devastating years of war. The armistice signed that day laid the foundation for peace.
This became Remembrance Day after WWII honouring all who served & sacrificed in both World Wars & beyond.
Today is the feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe, a Franciscan friar who gave his life at Auschwitz, offering to die in place of another prisoner. His selfless act of love reminds us that even in the darkest places, light can shine through.

Today is the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is a great day in which we focus on Christโs heart, love and mercy. It is also the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests. Let us pray for all of our priests.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of the Holy Father, Pope Francis this morning and have issued the statement below. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
With sadness, we share the news that Pope Francis passed away this morning, Easter Monday, in Rome.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

#3rdSundayOfLent
Today is Ash Wednesday and marks the beginning of Lent. This season is focused on prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Take sometime today whether at Mass or in your homes to take on a posture of humility and remember our need for God. Reflect on the cross and Jesusโ sacrifice for us.
Lent starts this Wednesday! Lots of opportunities for growth and renewal. If youโre in Parry Sound join us at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. #lent2025
