@danbickley Could it be more than one of the normal preseason mirages? Could it be they don't have the worst QB room in the league and can overcome a shaky line and defense?
Truly no words. Got to induct my Dad into the @ProFootballHOF. There is no one more deserving. Now back to work at @NDFootball training camp. Congrats again, Dad. 🏈 @LarryFitzgerald
Calling it Premium is a joke. The constant commercial interruptions probably every five minutes on @Peacock is infuriating. Never again will I subscribe for a year.
To the “any other team could have made a bigger bid for Skubal” crowd:
Well, sure. But keeping top prospects is going to become more important as years go by in this system because no one can spend the money that the Dodgers can spend. And no one is going to out-bid them in free agency. It’s a losing battle against them on multiple levels.
If teams unload their top prospects for a short term fix, most are screwed in the long run. But not the Dodgers. They’re bullet proof in that regard.
Everyone knew Skubal was signing with them this winter anyway. So why give up your top prospects to have him for two months, when the Dodgers are probably going to win the World Series anyway?
Sometimes, it's a Democrat with a gun.
Sometimes, it's a Republican with a gun.
Sometimes, it's someone with mental health issues with a gun.
Sometimes, it's someone that's extremely angry with a gun.
Sometimes, it's someone that's suicidal with a gun.
Sometimes, it's a straight person with a gun.
Sometimes it's a trans person with a gun.
But in every shooting event, one thing is consistent:
There is always a gun.
Figuring out the lowest common denominator and working to address it isn't complicated.
The anger is at the politicization of the Fed, which has been unambiguous. The only question at this point is how much Warsh will sell out to it. I’m taking the over until proven otherwise. And unfortunately, the market is going to assume he’s in Trump‘s pocket until he proves otherwise.
@MikeDeFabo From one former Steelers writer to a current one ... amazing a head coach would take you on that ride -- and even more amazing storytelling. I haven't read all your stories but this is an all-timer.
One of the smartest hedge fund managers I ever knew, who isn’t a widely known name because he hasn’t taken in any new LPs since the early 2000s, had one habit in correction phases to gage an equity markets drawdown estimate.
He wasn’t secretive about it, few take it seriously…
Buttigieg: You can see it in the carnival of corruption that is Washington, D.C., today.
The leader of the free world flying around in a secondhand jumbo jet from a foreign country while he makes a billion dollars on crypto deals propped up by foreign leaders.
A Supreme Court saying that a president, even if he used the government to murder someone, could not be held accountable for the crime.
Nine out of ten House races drawn so that you know who’s going to win before the first vote is cast in a 50/50 country.
This is not an academic concern. This hurts us. This is why things aren’t working properly. This is how they can make you pay more at the pump for a war you never asked for, how they burned down the Department of Education while we’re worried about kids who can’t do math or read like they’re supposed to.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. And that’s what we’re here to do something about.
