A burial service took place this week for an unknown British soldier and an unknown German soldier, discovered together in a shell hole during work on the Vrijbosroute cycle path, north of Ieper in Belgium.

Despite extensive and diligent research by our Commemorations Department and the MOD’s Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre, it was sadly not possible to identify these casualties.

In an incredibly poignant ceremony at our Poelcapelle British Cemetery, the two soldiers were laid to rest in a single coffin.

@Colne_Magna_X DNO'S were warning of 8 year timescale to upgrade current networks.
With the ditching of gas and reliance on ASHP, or electric heating, it's causing some issues on projects.

@Colne_Magna_X Oh dear, not for the first time with the RAF, last time. It was kept quiet, when the travelling community, made it on to a certain Hampshire airfield and stole fuel from lorry tanks, and causing the collapse of a pressurised tank, that they thought held fuel 🤦

@Colne_Magna_X Might have less visitors over the norwegian and north sea now!
