Did you know that many people working in supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda still qualify for Universal Credit because their wages aren’t high enough to cover the cost of living?
That’s not a welfare problem. That’s a low-pay economy.
Taxpayers end up subsidising low wages while working people are told to work harder. Britain doesn’t have a benefits culture problem. It has a wage problem.
Many MPs are loudly demanding cuts to the benefits budget to fund defence. Have any of these advocates suggested cutting MPs’ own generous expenses, subsidies, pensions, perks & benefits first? Or is austerity only for everyone else?
(🥇) 🚨 NEW: #thfc currently have a “GOOD CHANCE” at resigning Joao Palhinha. 🇵🇹
He wants to make a decision soon, with his two concrete options being Spurs and Sporting CP.
Tottenham do NOT want to pay the fee agreed in the loan (€25m, rising to €30m with add-ons) and instead want to renegotiate a lower fee.

The population has changed; Britain wants to #Rejoin!

The White House deleted this embarrassing video. So whatever you do- * DON'T REPOST IT. * Donald wouldn't like it if you hit "repost."
Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.
Simple explanation for this issue, basic maths. For the last 50 years pay rises have been made in percentages. Work it out for yourself. 5% increase on £50 is £2-50, 5% on £100 is £5 and on it goes
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1965: 20-1
CEO-to-worker pay ratio in 1990: 75-1
CEO-to-worker pay ratio today: 280-to-1
Trickle-down economics was always a sham.
Nothing has ever trickled down.
