In a way I’m quite pleased that Labour will form the next government because there are millions of extremely stupid people that voted for them and are going to experience the horror of having a Labour government for the first time.
Britain is fucked!
If only our CL Final vs Liverpool had been delayed by 15 minutes Sissoko might have caught that bus he was putting his hand out for. #RMALIV#ChampionsLeagueFinal
Always going to be difficult to breakdown a team that thrives on a game plan where they play 9 defenders in front of a top young keeper. Will require patience and a piece of brilliance I feel.
We always struggle to break down a packed defence
Under the current rules it was a penalty, but hardly an “intentional” handball (as I see it)
The fates are with Spurs today it seems!
Today we find out if Conte has given Spurs some backbone, some determination. It’s a big opportunity
We have a settled side (more or less) & plenty of momentum
Too often in the past we’ve let ourselves down in key games, but not this one … I hope
@smileberg@lazqetjohnson You’re going back in time a bit there! I’d forgotten some of those. But Levy can’t help himself, he likes to haggle then sell high & buy low. Or often lose deals by always wanting the last word
Penny wise, pound foolish
Totally right on both points. It’s been such a confusing year! But we now have a proper manager again. Unless Levy falls out with him over signings & money we could be back on track
Could be …
Best Tottenham moment of 2021 - getting Conte in. I was going to go with Mourinho being fired but getting Conte in and seeing the improvement with this squad, with signings to come, its given me hope!
Worst moment - being embarrassed by Arsenal inside 20 minutes.
If Spurs make 2 signings that Conte wants (but will Levy pay the wages for top players?) I’ll be delighted. But do we have to sell players first? Is it about success as a football club or about ENIC’s profitability?
I’m not optimistic, but I’d be overjoyed if Levy proves me wrong
@lazqetjohnson Classic Levy. He never intended to keep whatever “promises” he gave Conte about spending. Nothing will have been put on paper & he will back away from any commitments he gave
When have we EVER brought in quality players early in the transfer window? It’s late bargains Levy likes!
