Arizona election update: Still a lot of counting to do, but it looks like Trump will win and Kari will lose. Prop 139 the abortion initiative will win as will the "border security" initiative. Prop 140 on open primaries was trounced, as were similar provisions in many other states. Arizonans rejected the GOP legislature's attempt to restrict the ballot referendum process and make it more difficult for the people to create our own laws, and kept the judicial retention elections. Still unclear how the legislature will shake out. Trust the people. We read and understood the 4 page ballot and voted ala carte. We have a lot of mail in ballots still to count.

Florida voters have failed to pass the abortion rights amendment and now Governor Ron DeSantis’ 6-week abortion ban will be kept in place since the initiative failed to reach the required 60% threshold.
