पटना की रामनवमी आज जिस भव्यता और विश्वव्यापी पहचान के साथ जानी जाती है, उसके पीछे माननीय नितिन नवीन जी की दूरदर्शी सोच और वर्षों का समर्पित प्रयास है।

जब वे विधायक थे, तब उन्होंने रामनवमी शोभायात्रा को व्यवस्थित स्वरूप देते हुए मंदिरों और डाकबंगला चौराहा जैसे प्रमुख स्थलों को एक सूत्र में जोड़ने का कार्य किया।

साथ ही पिताजी से समन्वय स्थापित कर सभी शोभायात्राओं के समापन पर महावीर मंदिर में प्रसाद वितरण की परंपरा को भी सशक्त बनाया, जिसने इस आयोजन को और अधिक गरिमामय एवं सांस्कृतिक रूप से समृद्ध किया।

दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि कुछ छद्म धर्म-निरपेक्षतावादी लोगों द्वारा एक ऐसे रामभक्त की निष्ठा और आस्था पर सवाल उठाए जा रहे हैं जिसने रामनाम और राम काज को जनमानस मे उतारने का काम किया । राजनीतिक मतभेद हो सकते हैं, लेकिन किसी जननेता की धार्मिक निष्ठा और सांस्कृतिक योगदान को इस प्रकार कटघरे में खड़ा करना उचित नहीं।

सत्य यह है कि आज पटना की रामनवमी देश ही नहीं, विश्वभर में अपनी विशिष्ट पहचान बना चुकी है, और इस गौरवशाली यात्रा में नितिन नवीन जी का योगदान सदैव स्मरणीय रहेगा।
