In today’s Inside Star Citizen developer CIG announced there will be NO CitizenCon this year, not IRL nor digital.

⚙️ The reason as said was they are committing all their time and resources in both Squadron42 and Star Citizen’s development.
⁉️ For a large part of the community, news or even the direct launch of Squadron42 was estimated to collide with CitizenCon. This option is now off the table.

In a recent interview with ‘thisweekinvideogames’ Chris Roberts confirmed that the release of Squadron42 is also dependant on the release of competitor #GTA6

📡 The titan GTA6 is expected to gulp up all media attention upon release, not just from the gaming industry but even movie and other entertainment industries. Commercially it is a bad timing to release anything in entertainment alongside this disruption.
⚠️ There have been no confirmations that Squadron42 will have a console release.

Since past week reports came in that Squadron 42 related game packages as buybacks are no longer available in the Pledge store.

REPORT:
⚠️ @CloudImperium has placed a notice on the pledge store that any new buyback options are being disabled. This could mean old buybacks are also permanently disabled.
💠Speculation: could this mean CIG has been able to set a release date for Squadron42 and is it adjusting its pricing parameters for it?

VANDUUL KINGSHIP LOGBOOK:
These Vanduul capital ships function as flagship for their specific clan. Rarely seen but notorious as a military dreadnought and their most powerful class of known warship.

ENCOUNTERS:
⚠️2712, it forced the UEE Navy to retreat from the Orion System to the Tiber System.
⚠️2884, surprise attacked the Caliban system resulting in its fall.
⚠️2940, the UEE Navy managed to damage one severly during Operation Unilateral Force. The overall mission however still failed.
⚠️2945, Admiral Ernst Bisschop charged the UEES Gauntlet as a batter into a heavily damaged Kingship. Both ships were destroyed. It was the first and only time a Vanduul Kingship was destroyed by human forces.

Where is the planet Odin I?

It was destroyed during the red giant phase of Odin System's sun. It created an unusual anomaly of an asteroid field constantly terrorized by electrical storms, also known as the Coil.

Therefor the first planet you'll find from the sun in the Odin system is actually Odin II. From there, various corporations and research facilities conduct high-risk tests in the system's unique phenomenon.

Star Citizen has confirmed to head to the LVL UP EXPO on April 24–26 at Las Vegas.

✅According to the announcement several high-tier developers will be present at the expo, whom specific yet unkown.
⚠️In the announcement only Star Citizen is mentioned, no expectations for new Squadron42 info set by CIG thusfar.
🔎The last time Star Citizen officially joined an expo was in 2017 at Gamescom. Therefor it is preculiar for many they announce a reappearance on a game expo outside of their own Citizen Con.

Where does #Squadron42 take place?

Mostly in the Odin System, a UEE-controlled star system on the frontier. On its planets there are valuable mining colonies and trade outposts, but also darker secrets that draw the Vanduul threat.

Known Jump Points:

It is yet unknown if we are able to divert from the main storyline to explore the system for sidequests and exploration in between story driving event chapters.
