TimelyMD is trying to work with the CSU system, which is against the interests of student and faculty. This company could do harm against minorities using their bias from their faith. Let’s spread awareness on this issue to help students, faculty, and counselors! #TimesUpTimely
Our campaign to support survivors demands the following:
-Creation of alternative policy specific to sexual violence separate from Title IX
-Thorough investigations across the entire CSU system
-Well-funded, holistic resources for survivors
-Expansion of confidential spaces on-
and heal in community.
We call for structural changes that create safe campuses for survivors to be seen, supported, and empowered in their healing.

CW⚠️: sexual violence
Survivors deserve meaningful support and resources. Our current approach to sexual violence under Title IX takes on punative measures that are not trauma-informed and do not center survivor healing
Supporting survivors sincerely means empowering survivors-
-accommodations that do not isolate survivors from their community. Supporting survivors means stronger support systems in place such as multiple confidential advocates for each campus, holistic resources for healing beyond therapy, and centers for survivors to connect, process,-
-address the systemic issue of sexual violence throughout the CSU by holding those in power accountable for harm and committing to systemic change that will better support survivors. We must investigate every campus.
CW⚠️: sexual violence
We want justice and safe campuses. Therefore, we call for a thorough investigation of administrators and departments across the entire CSU system to disrupt the perpetuation and enablement of sexual violence on our campus communities.
No longer will we-
-tolerate those in power who cause and enable harm by protecting abusers and silencing survivors. No longer will we accept the CSU’s endorsement of violence through payouts such as ex-chancellor Joseph Castro’s $400,000 severance package from the Board of Trustees.

It’s time to redesign. Title IX was never meant to support survivors nor adequately address sexual violence. Title IX is a federal law initially created to ensure gender equity in collegiate sports, with sexual violence thrown under the umbrella of gender discrimination as an-
-Title IX is tied to federal funding, it merely enforces campus compliance on the basis of gender discrimination and centers the institution over survivors As a result, survivors often incur further harm from institutional betrayal
Now is the time to create new-
Sexual violence is a cultural & systemic issue maintained by the same structural powers upheld by white supremacy, the patriarchy, racial capitalism, and rape culture
Our current system under Title IX creates a culture of silence hostile to survivors because it prioritizes-
institutional image over the care and support of survivors–so actual accountability does not take place–and discourages survivors from speaking out and seeking support.-
Members speak at today's @calstate Board meeting & demand a fair contract. Our bargaining asks are simple & modest: raises to acknowledge our work; more lecturer job security; a semester of parental leave; flexibility for librarians forced on campus to "support" the rest of us.
