@Apple
Can you please explain me why 42GB is used in #iPhone for ios and system data. Its 128 GB phone and close to 40% #storage is used by #iOS. I don’t understand why close to 18 GB is used by system data? What is stored in it?
Is this the case for other #iPhone users?

Excited to be attending #SQLBits 2026 this year!
Looking forward to learning, sharing ideas, and connecting with leaders and experts from the data community. Keen to meet new people, exchange experiences
If you’re attending, say hello or drop me a message – would love to connect!
@mauridb The next question is how does it affect the execution plan tor in flight and for a new query. For instance the plan be using 2 core but after scaled up will it change and use the new plan or only for new execution? Also what happens vice versa when vCore is manually reduced.
@mauridb Does it auto scale down. I understand it can auto scale up based on min and max vCore setups however its not clear whether it will automatically scale down when the system is idle?
@mauridb Kudos to @NTFAQGuy sharing his knowledge on this, thanks @mauridb for sharing it here. Its a great video to watch how the internals of SQL Server changed to bring in hyperscale feature.
Couple of follow up questions, in the next two comments
It's time to head back to reality, so we just wanted to say a huge thank you to our orange team that makes #SQLBits possible - THANK YOU - each and every one of you is amazing!🧡
Ah! All in Fabric!
I wonder whether the database watcher data will be available in #azure#arc and also to export into other data sources like log analytics, elastic, etc etc.
@PBISentinel Thanks for the wonderful gift to my daughter at #SQLBits2024. She enjoyed assembling it. It was pleasure meeting everyone one of you. Thank you.
