5 days away from finishing this degree. if i ever have to analyse landslides again i will explode. also had to get a new fucking oven. which is fine but it's just a lot of change. take me away
My fic writing hot take is that everyone is asking the wrong question when it comes to characterization. "Would he say that?" is only part of it. What you really should be asking is, "What would happen to make him say that?" There lies the real joy of writing fanfiction
i (fish, 23) broke my oaths to my home to save my best friend (m19) because he was going to be sad and lose who he is/die. this did doom the world. aita?
edit to add: this guy is really important to me. i would do it again. we've kissed once but i don't see how that matters
worst part about my timezone is every single fish and chipper has gone to sleep by the time i finish the new riptide ep and then i simply have to fujo out in silence . at home. alone
my preferences for fiction often run dark but i genuinely cannot handle 'no one showed up to their birthday' 'no one showed up to their event they worked really hard on' etc. Just give me the cannibalism I can't do this shit man
@maisiePhase ur very welcome! i am a TA for a few first year courses and i understand it is all a very scary time. geography and geology have lots of overlap and are very good friends, so you can always take electives that cross over nicely :D best of luck to you
@milomumbles turned 24 a few months ago and things have been kinda awesome. feels like my frontal lobe is almost finished. also it's just a really nice number. happy birthday!
eating disorders have the highest death rate of any mental illness. we need to start taking ARFID just as seriously as the rest of them, because it too is causing serious harm.
all this talk about ARFID on my TL and i thought i'd talk a little about it. I've had it for 6+ years now, with the subtype fear of adverse reaction. one consistent thing i have found everywhere i look is MASSIVE lack of research, funding, and therefore treatment protocols
Remember the conversation abt depression, where someone was shocked to find out some depressed people don’t brush their teeth? And the reply was “yeah depression can get so bad that they even kill themselves” ??
I need you guys to apply that understanding to all conditions
to add to this, it has taken me SIX YEARS to get on a WAITLIST to see a professional about this, and that is only an initial appointment, where they may still turn me away if they deem I am not "severe" enough.
the other part of the danger of ARFID is that there is very little information on the treatment protocol for recover from it. mental health professionals that understand it are few and far between, and often focus on only one subtype, or pediatrics
