ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਕਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਫ਼ੋਨ ਜਾਂ OTT ’ਤੇ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਨਾ ਦੇਖਦੇ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਪਬਲਿਸਿਟੀ, ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਹੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਵਿਅੰਗ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੂੰ OTT ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਅੱਜ ਉਹੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂਝੀਆਂ ਸਕ੍ਰੀਨਿੰਗਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ, ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਲੋਕ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦੇਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

—from elders to young people, and even children. Many who might never have watched it individually on OTT are now watching it collectively.

Sometimes, banning content doesn’t reduce its audience—it expands it. The biggest promotion can be the attempt to suppress it.

👮‍♂️ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ – 3 ਦਿਨ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੀ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ FIR ਦਰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਹੋਈ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਖੁਦ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਚੁੱਕਣ ’ਤੇ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਨੇ।

ਇਹ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ — ਇਲਾਕੇ ’ਚ ਚੋਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਲੁਟਾਂ ਵਧਦੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਪਰ ਪਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਨੀਂਦ ’ਚ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੀ

ਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਫਾਇਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ’ਚ ਇਕ ਚੋਰ ਜਖਮੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੋਰ ਭੱਜਣ ’ਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

👮‍♂️ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।

ਚੋਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਰੇਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ — ਨੀਲਾ ਗੋਲ ਪਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਢੇ ’ਤੇ ਬੈਗ ਨਾਲ।

ਦੂਜੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ₹2 ਲੱਖ ਨਕਦ ਅਤੇ 6-7 ਤੋਲੇ ਸੋਨਾ ਚੋਰੀ ਹੋਇਆ। ਚੋਰਾਂ ’ਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
