Happy Paardeberg Day! Here's a fantastic photo of 'G' Company who, along with 'H' Company, played a pivotal role winning the battle that saw dozens wounded or dead.

Remember the soldiers who performed their ceremonial parades in Officers' Square, leaving for 3 wars (War of 1812, South African & First World War) from here, along with supporting the defence of the Empire & security for the city of #Fredericton. Many will not have returned.

After the Royal Regiment was formed, every member was required to take courses of instruction to enable them to be drill instructors when required. These Royal Regiment men and the men they trained from irregular units enabled Canada to quickly produce great numbers of well-
