"The complexities we encounter in dealing with time and state in our computational models may in fact mirror a fundamental complexity of the physical universe."
Read this in #sicp today and had to pause a minute or two to grasp the sheer scale of it.
@PahariPratyush Build networks. Get in touch with people on LinkedIn et al for internships. Since the companies won’t come to you, you’ll have to go to them.
@michaelhilton Surrey hills are amazing for hikes. If you fancy cycling or a walk within London, Victoria park is beautiful. Epping forest for some alpacas. Leake street if you are interested in urban art. Find attached Victoria park and shameless graffiti plug -

In all seriousness, both are terrible options. A lot of factors are involved in the process of deciding what universities you want to apply to, and can be summarized in neither A nor B.
@allenholub And isn't the extremely huge burden apparent with that? You'll have to put your faith in not only your colleagues, but literally every developer on the face of this earth, shall you have even a single dependency on a third party tool. PRs save us from that godforsaken nightmare.
@wilbowma The context-switch is real. I used to do that when I started with scheme and gradually realized it doesn't make sense. There's still evidence of the misery on my github. May the copilot learn from it.
@SaifUlI25919743 Oh yeah the build quality is really good. But that's about all I like about it. I am sure there's more, but I'd expect a much better ux from a proprietary, competent software.
Why are macs so popular among devs? The default UI is absolutely harrowing. I need to install softwares to do the most basic things like window snapping and always on top. I had to google how to open a new terminal tab. And wtf is finder and system preferences?!!

@ChristophMolnar From a student's perspective - In regions where undergrad research opps are non-existent, students dk how to approach it and may end up in programs that encourage irrelevant research. A belief is perpetuated that research is very ivory tower stuff that only people in movies do.
