It seems the routine of life is to work just to feed and a chunk of the money is to pay bills. Do all you can to have a good time especially with people that matter most cos at the end of the day, looking back, the good memories are the ones you'll cherish not the work memories.
We sometimes take pride in our self-belief that we can't be the problem in any kind of relationship because we believe we are morally upright and good till we're shocked how we have so much to work on ourselves. Don't be complacent, we're always work in progress on a daily basis.
Please don't stop being a good person that you are. It's true that despite your magnanimity, you've suffered so much from the toxicity of people who took you for granted; battered you, but for the sake of the world that needs good people to be a better place. Please don't change!
Ever wondered why some powerful countries build nuclear weapons and invest in arsenals of arms and ammunition even when they don't put them to use? Sometimes, the idea of how dangerous you can potentially be is enough to keep the enemy away.
I'm so grateful to God that has made me alive to see the second half of the year. The first half was full of lessons, victories, betrayals and challenges that seem insurmountable but God came through for me. Halleluyah!
When they say fear women, it's not just loose-talk; it's a commandment. Those creatures can ruin systems just to achieve their aims and can also move mountains for you when they're on your side. As a man, understand the "manual" of the one you have and deal with her with wisdom.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me—your sacrifices, your guidance, and your constant support never go unnoticed. You’ve been my strength, my teacher, and my example of what it means to be a good man. I’m truly grateful to have you as my father. Happy fathers' day, Dad.
One of life's underrated miracles is sleeping and waking. Scientifically, it has been proven that at the body's weakest during night sleep, people die. Even spiritually, at night is when the enemy comes to wreak havoc on the vulnerable. Be grateful for it and never commonize it.
Be swift to hear and slow to speak {James 1:19}. Develop a knack for maintaining your integrity, dignity, calmness and focus even when the closest people to you talk bad about you or sabotage you. There, you'll build resilience which is one of the greatest attributes of winners.
Romans 9:15-16 (NKJV)
15. For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”
16. So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.
I'm a very big preacher of forgiveness but don't ever be naive to the fact that people know exactly what they're doing when they were hurting you especially when it's over an elongated period of time. Forgive trespasses but be vigilant and place people where they belong.
Entitled people feel those close to them owe them by fixing their problems. They see everyone as a potential helper who's ready to bear the burdens they created for themselves & they basically give very little in return. Upon evaluation, you'll notice being with them was a loss.
I've experienced betrayals from folks that were dear to me and for sure, it's never a pleasant experience. Lesson learnt: you come first, brace yourself against traitors and equip yourself to be self-reliant. Don't do too much forgetting yourself, you'll have yourself to blame.
Put a bit of consideration into how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand how foolish it is to try and change someone else. You're not the Holy Spirit. Sometimes all you need to do is to accept people as they are (if you can cope) and move on with them.
