@GoferBender@Josh1139329977@IcyVert i don’t know where tf you are finding this article, but i can think of several arenas in shittier locations and vancouver is not one of them. rogers arena usually ranks low because it’s old af and they havent reno’d it in ages
@TransLink Interested to see if you know anything about this, but I noticed that the SkyTrain announcements pronounce Capstan with a very pronounced "a".
I've lived in Richmond my entire life and I've always heard it pronounced just "Cap-stin".
It’s amazing how many Conservative supporters seem to be happy with the idea of Canada becoming a 51st state under Donald Trump.
How many of these pro-Trump Conservatives are in Pierre Poilievre’s caucus or serving as Conservative party officials?
Canadians have a right to know.
It absolutely pisses me off that people do not care about local/provincial elections.
I’ve lost track of how many friends I’ve had to explain to about what has happened in the past 3 months in BC politics.
I’ll bet you good money if voters weren’t confusing the BC Conservatives for the federal Conservatives — or assuming they’re linked — this race wouldn’t be less close.
@RealAlbanianPat Teresa Wat is just so deep within the community that it was easy to just win votes and get people to listen to her. She was on Fairchild TV and radio constantly. and I feel like the same should’ve happened for Henry and Aman. 4/
@RealAlbanianPat Imo, the NDP just didn’t focus their efforts on winning this particular community. They had so many powerful assets but was underused, Aman Singh being from Hong Kong knowing Cantonese, Henry Yao’s voice hasn’t been able to break into the Chinese-Canadian media. 3/
@hutcho66@BrendanNatoli Vancouver's burbs are much more dense than Brisbane's. TOD is really the way to go over here.
These are all different burbs, all close to Skytrain. Metrotown, Surrey Central, Brentwood, Coquitlam.
It's a really weird thing where the burbs have taller towers than the core.
#NewWestminster Facebook is complaining about… get ready for this…
the tear down of a parking structure that blocked downtown from the water and created a dingy street for people to walk underneath.
With the shutdown of #TransLink bus and SeaBus services due to the transit strike, traffic congestion across Metro Vancouver seems "way worse" than usual.
Buses account for 62% of transit boardings.
Have you noticed a traffic difference? #vanpoli#vanre
