@HJarrs96114@joshuakonichiwa@nationalexpress Imagine if it was a same sex couple holding hands on the bus, minding their own business.
The boys would have done exactly the same.
So by your logic, as well as avoiding pride branding, same sex couples shouldn’t hold hands in public too.
Yep. It’s almost funny.
@RobKenyonReform never came to 1 meeting on Ashton Library. Me, cllrs and residents worked backsides off to save it.
In politics, berating ppl on socials doesn’t get stuff done.
He’s local, angry, but no plan to actually DO anything. Like @reformparty_uk
I liked this at the time.
But how does it makes sense if two years later your incrementalism isn’t being felt and populist parties are stomping all over pretty successfully?
So you’re serving incremental tinkering despite voters wanting a systemic sledgehammer? Baffling, but whatever.
At least be louder about the things you are achieving, clearer about the direction you’re heading, and angrier about what you’re against!
‘Weak’
Hard to think of a more damning indictment of someone with a landslide majority and the freedom to craft literally any narrative for media consumption.
@tomhfh Their whole purpose is to be eye catching though, and clear enough to transcend language.
I think on that basis, they’ve done a good job! Accessibility > thirst!
@portraitinflesh@catecaterina Couldn’t agree less, personally 🙈
I’ve lost count of how many times left-of-centre parties have just ignored icebergs.
Going from lowest Ipsos satisfaction rating for any PM since polling began, to winning in 2029, just seems less likely than a Burnham success IMO.
@portraitinflesh There’s definitely some idealism going on, but it’s all the ingredients are there for him to make a success of it.
Agreed on Wes, but looking a bit dicey membership-wise and seat-wise!
@portraitinflesh Yeah, I think it’s high risk but definitely high reward.
He’s uniquely placed to unite pretty disparate voter coalitions, and keep Farage at bay. I just hope there’s no complacency.
Who else would be better suited, in your view?
