It's the week of the 99th @GSGA Georgia Amateur, where the state's best players will be taking on the championship @AtlantaAthClub - Highlands course. It is strategically a straight-forward course, only demanding to those that take on unnecessary risk.

@whatsacookie @LawsoniaGolf @newclubgolf Definitely player dependent, but if the push up is significant then yes. Not everyone has the 40 yard soft shot. But most have the 80 yard shot.

It's @TheRinger16 week, and this edition has the crew at @DormieClub. In typical C&C fashion, #14 presents the short 4 with a question to be answered. There's plenty of width, but the farther one pushes up the more likely they will find themselves well below the putting surface.

A favorite hole from @the_fried_egg's Thoroughbred, @aikengolfclub's 14th provides ample width for pushing up into the green. The further one pushes into the green the more likely awkward contours and difficult chipping angles await. It's a great example of bunker restraint.

A favorite hole from this season was @PumpkinRidgeGC's 18th. The tee shot may be visually intimidating, but it's the second shot and-as we saw this year-the third (and maybe fourth) shot that make the hole. Next week the college kids get their shot at the Nike Intercollegiate.
