@firasmodad Everyone has been told over and over again that the Sikhs are the example of model multicultural integration. This is substantially more shocking than if it was carried out by almost anyone else. That and the police treating racism as more dangerous than being stabbed by a knife.

@Ulmer62336950 Many people are completely unaware of what caring for a newborn or young infant is like. That is why they try to fix the birth rate by telling women parenting is easy and are surprised women can’t be persuaded.

@NoahRevoy For many parents the powerlessness of raising children comes as a shock. Sometimes children are going to get upset and there’s nothing you can do about it. I find thinking “this too shall pass” and telling my child how irritating I am finding their behaviour really helps.

@WhiteBabyFac Women should state all requests to their husbands as requests and not be upset if he says no. Men should say clearly and calmly if they are going to do a task and then follow through. Stop treating your spouse as if they are lazy.

@The_Darwinist52 Apparently parents who hit frequently hit their kids once a week or more. If your kid is putting themselves in immediate danger once a week then you seriously need to look at what on earth you are doing.

@NoahRevoy Self control has to come from the self. It cannot be externally imposed. Unlike external control however, self control works in all circumstances. You cannot be moral unless you make your own decisions.

She bombards any pregnant woman or parent with a baby with questions. I’m fascinated to see how this plays out later in life.

My 4 year old daughter is currently obsessed with babies. She pretends all her teddies are babies, wheels them around in pushchairs, tucks them up in bed and stuffs them down her top declaring “I have a baby in my tummy”.
