@jadel4w@egyrm I worked at ILM. Modeling was a smaller department, maybe 5% of the company, animation larger, but still about 15%. All majors are about the same. Think about those numbers, these studios are pretty muck like getting into the Big Leagues, that's what we're really talking about.

Finally done with Residue or rather can't add anything else without subtracting. Mint starts 2:00 PM Eastern, 11:00 AM Pacific on Tuesday the 19th @TransientLabs .

@julhasimas I think I can see another camera rig at 90degrees to the main camera, then they can use a mirror to capture the image from both cameras, theirs is sideways, but is difficult to tell. Something like the image attached. Most companies want to keep as many things secret as possible.
@julhasimas The program they use, Dragonframe, can trigger many things, it can take multiple exposures with many different settings if desired, it can trigger other cameras and other systems in the set, that’s how they do it, the animator looks transparent because of long exposures.
@julhasimas Keeping the animator focused is paramount, so they likely had another camera setup just for that with timelapse, then either they use the timelapse in its raw form, or do a composite of two images, when the image was taken by the animator and the timelapse.
More work on Residue. New animation, new shapes and new background. Due to the problems fxhash is having now, mulling the idea of publishing either in @Highlight_xyz or @TransientLabs Anyone with experience on either of those platforms, feel free to chime in. #generativeart
@PurzBeats Yes, really interested, working on a 12 minute film and I've been waiting patiently for things to mature and for me to come to terms with AI, I think this is about the right time. Looking forward to it.
More work on Residue for @fx_hash_ added a little bit of background nebula shape and a bit of nostalgia with Spirograph-like special shapes, still working on those to make them more defined.
@EHuanglu Depends on your director. In over 20 years as a VFX artist I've never had a director look at my shot the first time and say "Final!", they always pixel peep until the very end, after all they paid you, so that's the expectation, and if you don't have game, well then your screwed.
@c_valenzuelab I’ve been looking and from my point of view there’s one and only one account creating what I would consider art. Just on the strength of that artist I might accept your point, but in this huge market, just one non-derivative innovator? https://t.co/DdINxp5L3N
