Worth watching this chilling account from Amb. Samantha Power about Elon Musk & Trump ignoring evidence in plain sight that destroying USAID would lead to deaths around the world: “There was no regard for human lives at stake.”
Let me tell you what just got reported, because you will not believe it until you see it laid out.
The Trump administration cut a billion-dollar tungsten deal with Kazakhstan. Tungsten is the metal we need for missile warheads, fighter jets, and computer chips. Trump himself got on the phone to close it. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick worked it from the inside, sending letters, leaning on the Kazakh president, lining up as much as $1.6 billion in federal financing.
Within weeks of those negotiations, investors tied to a firm partly owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump took a 20% stake in an entity connected to the very same Kazakhstan project their father was negotiating. Around that same time, Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm run by Lutnick’s own sons, raised $210 million for a partner in the deal and pocketed the fees.
The fathers set the policy. The sons cashed in.
Six days after the Trump sons and their partners moved their money, Lutnick signed the final deal.
The reporting found one or both families have financial ties to at least 14 companies working with the government on critical mining deals.
The total federal funding flowing toward those companies tops $8.9 billion.
This is your tax money.
It is supposed to secure our supply chains and protect our troops, not pad the portfolios of the President’s children and the Commerce Secretary’s children.
This is the most corrupt administration in American history. It is not close.
We must keep digging, and keep asking the questions they do not want asked. Republicans in Congress are unwilling to lift a finger. Mike Johnson is running a protection racket.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.

More Than 10,000 Investors Were Misled. Trump Freed the Man Convicted in Their Fraud
A man convicted in a $1.6 billion fraud involving more than 10,000 investors barely entered prison before Trump freed him. Prosecutors then reportedly asked whether money or access helped make it happen, before that inquiry was reportedly shut down.

BREAKING: Several whistleblowers say that Axios coordinated news with market insiders, leaking CME order information via phone calls up to 30 minutes before market open and close prints. Crude oil short positions were also taken just before today's Axios report on a "US-Iran deal" and "14-point deal," gaining substantially as oil dropped sharply on the news.
Iranian political analyst Mohammad Marandi also says Trump, Witkoff, Kushner, and their close associates profited heavily in the past hours from fake news provided to Axios.
Iran holds Hormuz and knows it. Military experts are clear: there is no way to take control of the strait. Bond markets, equity markets, energy markets. The argument is that Iran has all of them in its hands right now.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
Today is Martin Luther King Jr Day.
Here is 9 minutes of Charlie Kirk attacking the civil rights leader, calling him a “bad guy” and saying he doesn’t deserve a holiday or statue.
In return, Trump gave Charlie Kirk the Medal of Freedom.
FRANCE'S MACRON: NO INTIMIDATION NOR THREAT CAN INFLUENCE US NEITHER IN UKRAINE NOR IN GREENLAND
FRANCE'S MACRON: TARIFFS ARE UNACCEPTABLE AND HAVE NO PLACE IN THIS CONTEXT
FRANCE’S MACRON: EUROPEANS WILL RESPOND IN UNITED, COORDINATED MANNER IF TARIFFS ARE CONFIRMED
This is the time where every elected Republican must speak out, to save any shred of morality.
This is one of the most dangerous things this administration has done. These Republicans need to vote no on every Trump priority until this is pulled back.
No one should lose their sense of outrage about what is happening to our country. This is an effort to create an autocratic state. It's that plain.
Trump is threatening to imprison the Chairman of Federal Reserve simply because he won't enact the rate policy Trump wants.
"This new threat is not about my testimony last June or about the renovation of the Federal Reserve buildings. It is not about Congress's oversight role; the Fed through testimony and other public disclosures made every effort to keep Congress informed about the renovation project. Those are pretexts.
The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than following the preferences of the President." https://t.co/d4msQBBA3H
POWELL SAYS SUBPOENAS ARE RETALIATION FOR FED POLICY
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell said the Justice Department issued grand jury subpoenas threatening criminal charges, which he dismissed as unrelated to his congressional testimony or Fed renovations. Powell said the action was retaliation for the Fed setting interest rates independently of the president’s preferences.
I am in disbelief that this Congress still hasn’t found the political will to do something as basic, as decent, as installing a plaque to honor the law enforcement officers who protected the Capitol on January 6.
Honoring the people who risked their lives for this institution should not be controversial. It should be automatic.
And if we can’t agree to put up a plaque in their honor, what kind of example are we setting for the American people, for our kids, and for the next generation of officers who might one day be asked to stand between democracy and chaos?
Put up the plaque. Show the country we still have a conscience. And show those officers and their families that their sacrifice wasn’t political. It was patriotic. It was noble. And it will never be forgotten.
