@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer I agreed with the group of professionals that studied this subject long enough to make a decision that 15 weeks (unless emergencies) was morally right, however I will keep researching it :)
@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer The first trimester is up to 12ish weeks, when the organs are nearly fully formed. The cutoff for abortions unless life-altering emergencies was decided on week 15; for reasons I tried researching but don't know enough about - poss leniency on age accuracy.
@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer This is why knowledge is so dire to help understand the topics at hand. This is why discussing such uncomfortable topics is so important. I understand why you think the way you do, but I hope you can come to a place of understanding towards myself & others.
@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer The idea is: nothing should have authority over one's body without that person's consent. The given time period was agreed upon to make that decision of 'consent' UNTIL its no longer seen moral (except within emergencies); this choice is no longer protected.
@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer Since your tune changed so quickly after I commented, I do suggest you continue learning about the gastrulation process to gain understanding. To critically think & research taboo topics before making an argument point will make all conversations far more productive x
@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer I have only taken two biology classes & one nutrition class to learn what I know. Although I think knowledge is indeed the key to understanding - I would rather go by scientists who choose this subject as a profession & are qualified to speak on it; same as any health topic.
@orientalistVN@CaptSparrow14@MythicOtter @DerekBartlett07 @nerdytattooer A unicellular organism with the potential to become multicellular is not yet a life. No ONE or THING has authority over anyone's body, especially a hollowed ball of cells that is yet to go through gastrulation.
@heulboje21@_ibrxhim11_@krigar_b@TokyoMarch_@Valkyrae It's the lack of sexual attraction, not desire. However, they often coincide. That's not to say all aces lack sexual drive and/or are sex-repulsed. I'm ace but I like sex !
