KIIT Deemed to be University has once again continued its global presence in the QS World University Rankings 2027. For a young university like KIIT, being featured in this prestigious global ranking for the second consecutive year is a matter of great satisfaction and encouragement.
I am happy to share that KIIT is the highest-ranked private/deemed university from Eastern India in the QS World University Rankings 2027. KIIT continues to stand among India’s leading universities across both government and private institutions, carrying forward its strong performance with consistency. It has also achieved the 4th position in the category of Large Comprehensive Private Universities with a High Research Focus, reflecting our growing strength in academics, research, innovation and global outlook.
Rankings always remind us that there is no end to learning, improving and working harder. We remain committed to strengthening KIIT further and taking it to greater heights in the years ahead.
Stone Music Performance.
Happy to welcome Mr Tokio Hasegawa Ji, Director of Mithila Museum, Japan, along with twelve musicians and performers to KIIT today for the Stone Music India Tour 2026.
Mr Hasegawa Ji has spent many years building a beautiful cultural bridge between India and Japan through art, music and the preservation of Mithila paintings. His love for Indian culture is truly inspiring.
Our students and staff had the opportunity to witness their unique Stone Music performance at KIIT. Such programmes make education more meaningful, because students learn not only from books, but also from art, culture, creativity and human connection.
I thank Mr Hasegawa Ji and the entire team from Japan for visiting KIIT. May the friendship between India and Japan continue to grow stronger through culture, music and love.
A proud milestone for KIIT, KISS and Indian volleyball.
The FIVB–KIIT–KISS Centre of Excellence for Volleyball has been elevated by FIVB to an International Centre of Excellence for Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
With this recognition, KIIT and KISS will now serve as a global platform for players, coaches, trainers and sports professionals from India and across the world.
KIIT remains committed to strengthening Volleyball and Beach Volleyball, creating opportunities for young athletes, and supporting India’s dream of reaching the Olympic stage in these sports.
I feel very happy to share that the FIVB–KIIT–KISS Centre of Excellence for Volleyball at KIIT has been elevated to an International Centre of Excellence for Volleyball and Beach Volleyball by FIVB.
This announcement was made at the FIVB Headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, in the presence of FIVB President Dr Fabio Azevedo and the FIVB leadership.
This is a proud moment for KIIT, KISS, Odisha and India. What started as a centre to support Indian volleyball players will now become a global platform for players, coaches and sports professionals from different countries. It will also give international athletes the opportunity to study at KIIT and KISS while receiving world-class volleyball and beach volleyball training.
I am thankful to Dr Fabio Azevedo and the entire FIVB leadership for their trust and encouragement.
My dream is to see India represented in Volleyball and Beach Volleyball at the Olympic Games. I believe this International Centre of Excellence will help us identify, train and prepare young talents for the future, including our long-term aim towards Brisbane Olympics 2032.
We were honoured to interact with Prof. Nguyen Phong Dien, Vice President, along with other esteemed faculty members of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in the presence of our Directors & Deans from @KIITUniversity during our visit to Vietnam.

Guided by this powerful motto, the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) at KISS provides an advanced ecosystem for curiosity and innovation. Through interactive digital displays, 3D printing technology, and hands-on guidance, students learn to design, prototype, and build smart projects.
By fostering an early interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), KISS is transforming young indigenous learners into tech-savvy, self-reliant problem solvers.
Six months. Sixteen volunteers. Countless ideas.
They brought fresh perspectives and youthful spirit—leaving behind an impact that continues to inspire.
Youth power is truly unstoppable.

Very happy to see my 20 lovable KIIT & KISS students performing Shakespeare’s plays in Santali language at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, before a distinguished gathering of more than 500 people, including over 200 ambassadors, high commissioners and diplomats, after their return from Romania.
They had earlier presented Santali language and tribal culture at the International Shakespeare Festival in Romania. Today also, everyone appreciated them so much.
For me, this is a matter of great happiness. Our children are taking the language, culture and pride of our soil to such respected platforms.
Following their acclaimed performance at the International Shakespeare Festival in Romania, our 20 students presented Shakespeare’s plays in Santali at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, earning appreciation from an audience of over 500 distinguished guests.
Today, our 20 KIIT and KISS students had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, after their return from Romania.
She appreciated their participation and beautiful performances at the International Shakespeare Festival, where they represented India, Odisha and Santali language through Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet in Santali.
It is a very proud and emotional moment for all of us. Our children have shown that with opportunity, encouragement and confidence, they can carry their culture and talent to the world.
My heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji for her love, blessings and encouragement to our children.
