@KQEDForum @ehanford As a teacher, I hate “Balanced Literacy”- kids need phonics. Kids need explicit instruction with letters and sounds. I’ll die on this hill
Also, let’s not forget that balance literacy works for kids with access to resources. Kids from lower income are left to struggle.
